Blank screen after upgrading RAM to 64Gb

Hi all,

I’ve got a Razer 15 Advanced 2080 2019 model.

I purchased 2x32Gb Crucial DDR4-2666 SODIMM 1.2v RAM to upgrade. The main site suggests I can upgrade to 64Gb.

After the RAM is installed and I power up, I just get a blank display. I put the old RAM back and all is well. Tried the new RAM in case it was a seating issue, but blank screen again. Old RAM back and all okay.

Should this work okay? I’ve done some research and it doesn’t look like I should need to do anything more then swap and boot.

Regards,

Mark

I was checking for DDR4 RAMS also and several stores told me that the Crucial RAM compatible with the Blade 15 is the 3200 SODIMM, not the 2666, however the 64GB upgrade is for the 2020 model, make sure the 2019 model is also capable, I`ve read that it is 32GB RAM Maximum.

Hope i helped man. Good luck.

Yep, seems 32Gb is max. Switched it for that and now working fine. Thanks for the info.
