Brand new Razer Blade 15 2020 temps
I just got my new laptop this week and i fired up World of Warcraft and I am noticing my CPU temps hitting 90 degrees Celsius after just 15 minutes of game time.
Does this sound normal? Should i get a cooling pad for this thing? I am worried maybe something is wrong.

If the titles are cpu intensive which’s apparently so it might spike to 90ish, since the Turbo Boost once kick in to highest frequency it on long time it might be hot. Cooling pad might help, increasing bottom areas for better intake and use high Fans rpm might also help reducing the cpu temperature. Usually undervolting the cpu helps also but due plundervolt 10th gen H cpu might be not undervolting able.
Did you get the base model blade? For a base model that sounds about right if you havent undervolted a little as the base models dont have the vapor chamber cooling.
If you got the advanced model with the vapor chamber cooling it shouldnt go above 80. With my blade 15 2019 advanced with a -0.144mv undervolt I usually hover around 68-72c and very short spikes to 76-78 when playing World of Warcraft. Never above 80 running any games.
Just try to elevate the laptop a little to leave the vents clear and keep the laptop open and it should do its job cooling itself.
I use a hercules DG4000B laptop stand so the vents have plenty of space to push out the hot air and the advanced model vapor chamber reduces temps by at least 10-15c compared to base model
jaseowIt is the razer blade 15 2020 advanced model, yes. I am playing World of Warcraft with decently high settings on, and sometimes the CPU will hit 95 Celsius after playing for an hour and start to throttle. I am just worried about something burning up due to the heat.

Even at stock settings it shouldnt go above 85c. Are your vents blocked by anything?
jaseowI will check the vents later and screenshot my HWInfo64 info. I do have the laptop sitting on top of a laptop cooler, could that be interfering with the laptops cooling system? Thanks for following up with me, i really appreciate it!

DurzoCan you upload entire HWinfo64 sensor screenshot, kind weird since it shows core 0 2 and 4 thermal throttle which’s not since they’re on 80ish, it should be core 6 and 7 if it’s. Though on 8750H throttle point is on 95 I believe, 93 isn’t hitting it. Maybe they don’t read this new 10875H 8 cores rightly? I want to see also frequency average on gaming actually that made them running on that areas, I think theoretically more cores means hotter compared to previous 6 cores CPUs, but it’s still better than some other notebook like MacBook Pro 8 cores that literally runs on 90ish hitting 100.

I am also having thermal throttling after playing Starcraft 2. It didn't happened to me until recently I bought laptop on may 2020. But now it seems to me very lagging. I have good ventilation and laptop is on a stand letting air flow through.I tried Modern Warfare and Tomb Raider and overall it was very good. May it be that Starcraft may be doing something weird? Like using a lot of the processor?
