Broken? Razer Blade Advanced Model 2019 System time stuck at Shutdown Time
Hi Blade Owners,
I was just wondering if anyone else have ever experienced this same problem and how to solve it. For around 2 months now, I began to notice my Razer laptop reset and restart the boot cycle 2-3 times during a cold boot before loading Windows 10. (The keyboard and led indicator will light up, then off)
I suspect that this was due to system time not being correct that caused this problem because everytime this happens and windows 10 loads, it would be the time that I last used and shutdown the laptop. Even if i try loading the BIOS, the time will be the time of shutdown as well. It will be this way for about half a minute until the time and date auto corrects itself over the internet. And if I am not connected to the internet, it will just continue to display the wrong time.
Another thing I would like to add is that, if i shutdown the laptop and boot it up again within a few minutes, this will not happen. And sometimes if I leave the charger plugged in while the laptop is off, also will prevent this from happening.
Can anyone provide any insights and solutions for this problem?

Have you tried replacing the CMOS battery? Sounds like that's the simplest item to address first, then working your way up. Since that battery provides power to the chip that keeps time and among other things.

Thanks for the advice Krighton. As Razer wont sell/send out parts for repairing their system and support aftersales service in Thailand for their laptops, I went and bought myself a Panasonic ML1220 battery, and swapped out the stock Chinese brand CMOS battery. Turns out problem solved. So for anyone encountering this same issue in the future, start with the CMOS battery. (No need to send the laptop back for repair)

In 99% aller Fälle, bei Problemen mit der Zeit am Computer, ist es eigentlich immer die Bios Batterie. Aber sehr gut,das du das Problem alleine gelöst bekommen hast :thumbsup:
In 99% of all cases, when there are problems with the time on the computer, it is actually always the Bios battery. But very good, that you have solved the problem alone 👌:thumbsup:
