Constnant Fan on Blade Advanced (2020) 2080 Super Max-Q
Hi, I just updated from BIOS 1.04 to 1.06 and suddenly the laptop is really noisy. Before this it was absolutely fine, with the fans only being noticable when an intensive load started.The fans are significant even just on the desktop and it's quite distracting. It was immedially noticable after the update...
Is there any way to roll back to the previous bios or somehow resolve this?

Unfortunately once you update the bios there’s nothing to roll back. Not sure if you’ve save point on windows recovery, I never tried this. Loud fans might also because fans dusted that slow down the cooling that resulting higher temperature, it means fans should work harder to cool the blade. Check as well program background, if there’s any fans should be louder.
Ah, that's annoying. It's only a few days old so it can't be dust. The fans are noticeable when CPU and iGPU usage are both at about 1% so there's nothing intensive running... I guess I'll just have to wait for the next BIOS update to see if it's fixed. Thanks anyway
