Hello, I may be considering a blade 13" and was interested to combo it for home with the Core X Chroma. But, reading reviews I'm not sure this is a still a solution. Here a few questions : - Is the Core X still a thing in 2020 ? In the sense that "are newest blades enough for next gen game like CP2077" ? - I have read about physical limitations regarding the lightning connection and that it doesn't give much of a boost at the end of the day. is there an update of the Core X in the works ? - All in all what would be the benefit of a Core X if you have, lets say, a blade 13 (2020) ? Thanks for your answers.

Bump. Anybody ?

Well the Blade Stealth has a Quad-Core-Processor. And if you do have the Stealth with Intel Iris Graphics then there will be a benefit. But as I said it has a Quad-Core-Processor so it could happen that your CPU bottlenecks your system.

Sure, because you can use nearly any desktop GPU where as the 13" laptop is only running a GTX 1650 (at best). From what I've read the 1650 is a good gpu, but modern games will need to have the details toned down and you still may be dropping frames. I think Rise of the Tomb Raider is an example where its not able to maintain 60fps (I could be wrong, as I'm going on memory)

I'm pretty happy with the performance - I'm not sure what you mean

Yes, of course, because desktop GPUs are faster then laptop GPUs I have a Core X Chroma with an RTX 2060 Super and its faster than my Razer Blade Advanced (running a 2070 Max Q). Its also a lot quieter and produces less heat.

Yes, in any case the Core X is a great thing. Currently, Razer is more likely to finish the Tomahawk, which is supposed to come this year, as a major upgrade of the Core series. And yes, if you put a decent graphics card in there, it makes more sense than the most expensive Razer laptop. The desktop cards are always more powerful than the small ones from the notebooks.
