Legend. So tempted to get one but doesnt seem like itll hit australias shores till June.

Also could you show how much wider it is conpared to the blade 14? I ask because I have a custom made laptop sleeve made to keep my blade 14 that has Very little wiggle room and I would like to know if the blade 15 would fit in there. Thank you
What is the battery life?

He is just installing things, and answering this and that;) Be patient, battery test will take a while.

The Ram is set at 2667 confirmed. I will let you know max once I figure it out. The logo CAN be turned off via synapse, and at idle the machine is pretty quiet. Again I'll get an app to see how much fans ramp up during heavy load.

EDIT: 32gb Ram at 2667 is max motherboard will allow

thanks a lot. really appreciate that you take times to answer is.

the logo off is at least a good start.

edit: just to be sure this one should be a good option?

These would be my choice when I decide to upgrade but yes the Crucial should work also.

Just wanted to let you guys know that synapse has an option for game mode. What this actually does is OC your 1070. It adds +100 to core and +300 to memory when enabled.

Yes another new features:), how about Fans profiles, is it still 3, low high balance? And is there any battery safety mode like using 60Hz for better battery life like on Razer Phone...okay that’s all for now, if I continue you’ll finish testing maybe next week;)

What is that button looking thing on the top right side of the speaker grill? Im assuming its a power button but hoping it has a fingerprint sensor.

Just a button sorry!
Can’t wait to see the thermals, it’d be great if the disastrous cooling of previous blades is finally solved!

Thursday is my game night...so i'm gonna have to take a break for now. I will say i hopped in Farcry 5 and while it ran great the CPU was hitting 90s often. The GPU stayed below 80c. I'm going to upload a video later and look into CPU thermals. I will also end up undervolting the CPU but for now ill test stock voltage.
Hey man, congrats on the new Blade! Can you check for light bleed on the display? Razer's FHD displays are notorious for light bleed as well as a weak seal for the bezels and display panel. There is a pretty big gap on the bottom bezel of my Blade 2017, which is annoying since dust gets in.

Hopefully everything else about it is great!

Thanks for the update, can't wait to see the results! Hopefully there's some more when I wake up in about 8 hours :p

I must say, I'm not impressed with it hitting 90 often, would've expected better. My preliminary verdict is that the new vapor chamber and high end thermal materials, etc. is nothing more then marketing fluff. Hope you can prove me wrong though!

No gaps anywhere... very minimal light bleed at the bottom of the screen but its absolutely acceptable. Thanks! I'll have more data soon.
Just hope you don't suffer the same fate as the other guy who got his today. His died and he had to RMA already

Defective products is always there on first wave order on any devices, had experience from other brands, that’s why I don’t do pre order.

Here’s the gaming mode FS score from Notebook Review Forum, break again that “14K Magic score”;)

Yeah he posted the first unboxing video I saw on youtube

I understand that defective products that happen but they seem to happen WAY too often for Razer laptops

From Test results and review that showed online on day 1, 1/5 ratio so far I know, well that unlucky YouTube guys only who has that experience, not counted poeple who are still installing things there, they’ll report it online if they have DOA experience. It’s too early to judge that, I’d wait for couple days saying that.
Over at the Notebook Review forums, the CPU hit 99 degrees when a user played The Witcher 3. It seems as if he either has one with the worst thermal paste job ever, or Razer messed up again.

Yes I saw that but OP said there’s no in game struggling, which is quite weird. On 94 celcius on 7700HQ i already see the lag, sometimes crashing, the CPU try to cooling down with lowering performance. Or it is new features on 8 gen laptop CPU to be able to hold until those higher temperature, -0,135 is also quite low UVolting value compared to 7700HQ with -0,120 average...Though it’s right imo also bad for CPU lifespan playing on that temperature.

I've no idea on how it holds, perhaps it was just one core at 99. Either way, like you said, it's bad for the lifespan of the machine. I am slowly moving away from buying the Razer and going with the ASUS Zephyrus M based on the first results.

Just wait for more results to judge. Remember, that a lot of aero 15x and zephyrus with 8th core had temperature issues as well.
if tou thought it was too early to buy the blade 15 without more review you should also think that it s too early to not buy a product based on 1 RMA and 1 incomplet temp test.

let s just wait we will have answers soon enough.
Don t expect the blade to be 60° or less than 40 deb.
you know where you are going with this kinf of format.

Well the Zephyrus M actually performs amazing with a liquid metal repaste. The most impressive thing about that is that it’s running a full 1070, not one with MAX Q design.

Pretty much all previous Blade 14 generations had severe thermal issues. It’s on Razer that it’s users fear the worst now.

Believe me, I’m hoping the first indications are wrong, but three users reporting hitting the 90 isn’t really giving me hope.

I’m praying every day that it will show up good review on it, on Razer subreddit ex MacBook Pro and XPS 15 user that happy about it, usually Mac user will complain first about Fans noise, but he didn’t and said okay, when I’m not wrong...hopefully;) That is nice if it’s:) I’m already sold at 8750H to increase my setting performance, so I hope and wish it’ll be okay.
How's the keyboard feel compared to previous gen? I hope it's very much the same travel distance and resistance as the 2016/17 blade 14's. If its like the stealth, I cannot use it.
