iPad puts Razer Blade 15 Advanced to sleep mode

Dear Razer Blade Users,

I wanted to share a unwanted behaviour I had stumbled on. Sometimes my Razer Blade 15 Advanced suddenly switched to sleep mode and I could not explain it. I checked power settings in Windows and thought already about an defect. It drove me crazy!

Then I realized, that the magnets of the iPad for holding the screen protection interferred with the sensors for the lid-closed detection of the Razer Blade. So be aware, when you put your iPad too close to your Blade.

Best regards and happy gaming!

Even mobile phone can do this (at least I saw similar behaviour on some HP ProBook laptops, when you'll put smartphone under the laptop screen).

Thanks for sharing but this’s already known (at least to me), since Apple brings more magnets to the device like yes iPad Pro and recent iPhone series as well, if you put on bottom right keyboard areas where most blade laptops sleep sensor is placed, it’ll go sleep. If you’ve two blade system you can try also put on top (one lid closed put just like laptops Matt) of that and you’ll see similar thing happening.
