I just purchased the new blade 17 and decided to add an additional SSD to the second port. I accidentally pulled out the two wires that were near the slot and now the modem won't work, so I'm assuming that those wires had something to do with the modem. Does anyone have a photo to show where I can connect those wires to? Or directions on how to activate it?
Thank you

Would you like to upload your photos first, so that we can analyze the damage.
Here you go.

When you mentioned "modem" you are meaning wifi?
That you cannot connect to the internet?
yea. I can't connect via the wi-fi card. It can't detect a signal. That's why im wondering if those wires go from the wi fi card to an antenna type thing
Yep I see what the issue is
You'll need a good sturdy hands and patience to fix this
On the wifi adapter card there are two hole connectors which I have drawn using a red pen.
At the end of cable 1 and 2, it needs to be cliped onto those hole connectors.
Get a tweezer to align the end of the cable to the holes and gently push it in.

The insider mentioned, "adding additional SSD to the second port"
The cables do overlap the SSD placement; which can make users accidently pull the cable when inserting and removing the SSD.

I'm wishing my routers could do that speeds but yes understanding its very new. I would look at both the firmware and software of the laptop and routers. Hardware speeds also limited hardware. Like razer hard drive does only 5000mbps write 7500 mbps read. So if you doing other stuff that might affect stuff. I have spent a few bucks buying drives and talking speeds prices with companies. One controller board connected to hard drives easy job. Just learn how to build best connectors or a good one at lest. But definitely watch software and firmware version. I hear you can upgrade hard drive upto 40gps version but they ate not cheap. Have fun enjoying laptop.
fun facts, i do some experiment too with my blade as well. back in 2017 as we all know blade can be very warm on intense workload, thats when i decide to modified my blade with watercooling and change all the vaporchamber its complicated but theres 3rd party somewhere on ebay that selling those part, turns out working well.
