Hi,
I'm getting a separate monitor for my Blade 15".
The laptop comes with a 1980x1080 screen resolution.
Does that mean the max resolution that my laptop/GPU can output to an external monitor will be 1980x1080? Or can I get a 2560 x 1440 monitor and achieve that resolution straight out of the box? (without a dock and all)
Thanks for your help!

You can output any resolution that your monitor can do, so it’s not limited to your blade internal monitor resolution and depends on your blade model some newer models comes with hdmi 2.1 that can even output 120Hz 4K on TV that has hdmi 2.1. The thing to notice is that if you’re planning to play game on it, if the gpu powerful enough to run your titles on that resolution.
Awesome joikansai! thanks for the info!
I've got a 1920x1080 right now and may upgrade in the future. I tested a 27" Gigabyte curved monitor, and a 27" flat panel ASUS monitor and prefer the ASUS for sure.
cheers
