Performance with Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1T PCIe m.2 SSD & Sabrent 2T

2019 RBA15 2080 OLED

I'm not getting anywhere near published performance (3500 Read / 3300 Write) on this drive. I tested in my other laptop and had MUCH better results. Please let me know if there are other drivers or things to look at to help improve performance.
Anyone try the Sabrent 2T drive? I just installed one to test and receiving even weirder results... my write speeds (2900) are higher than my read speeds (2600) and both are also much lower than published speeds. Fresh install of Windows 10 (build 2004) and only installed chipset, video drivers and Synapse3. Something just seems funky.
I'm curious to know what others are experiencing as well.
Thoughts?

How high is the disk temperature? High may throttle the performance.
I will put the Samsung back in and check.
Currently I have the Sabrent Rocket (non-Q) 2T drive installed and it is odd that write is higher than read.
Temp did not exceed 43C
