Questions about blade 16 2024

I’m looking forward to getting myself a blade 16 to replace my old zephyrus duo. For the 2023 model, I’ve heard several issues about different batches of the miniled panels(either auo or boe). Does the 2024 model receive any miniled panel updates? Also I’ve noticed that miniled is the only option if I would like to go for 64/96 gigs of ram from factory, does that mean the oled panel is inferior compared to the miniled panels?

I can say, I ordered an OLED Blade 16 the first day it was available and just returned it yesterday.

Between the much lower brightness and the fact the panel then has to overcome a glossy display, it was significantly darker than my 2023 Blade 16 with the QHD.

In its favor, the colors and contrast are in fact incredible, but I was used to a much brighter screen.

I have ordered a MiniLED 16” after finding out that Razer has added the ability to disable the local dimming (which was why I went with IPS QHD on the 2023 model).  My local Razer store has one in stock.  I will post back when I get it.

Thanks for the feedback! I personally own two duos and an oled blade 15 in the past two years and either solution has its flaws, just don't know why they couldn't get brighter panels like those on smartphones.

Just bought the OLED 16 few days ago. I also had a mini-led version from last year.

The display is incredible. There isn’t weird text fringing visible like with some older OLEDs. Its truly stunning.

When it comes to brightness, it is dimmer then the mini-led version but i do not notice it much in day to day use because of the way the OLED screen works. It appears brighter than 400 nits.

I would not recommend the mini-led version, its atrocious. Its not even comparable, OLED is miles better. It doesn’t have enough dimming zones and you can see backlight on bright pages (gray pages) which looks really bad. If switch off local dimming you are effectively switching it to IPS quality so it defeats whole purpose of mini-led lol. Not to mention its hassle to do it every time you stop gaming.

And yes of course, bonus points for screen being glossy, FINALLY! It looks astonishing
