Questions about Razer Blade 15

Hello everyone, hope everyone doing great, so i have been using the blade 15 for 2 months now and everything is good for now but i really wanna know more things about the laptop, first thing i have been using it as a desktop since the day i bought it, plugged to the power and my 4k monitor 24 hours, is that a normal thing to do? or will it effect the power brick or the laptop battery with time? second question is what's the average gpu\\cpu heating degree? and what's the best program i can use to view this kinda of information?.
Thanks a lot

I plug it to the wall and use external monitor mostly at home since i have it from 6 Months ago, i think nowadays there’s already battery capacity protection from OS to avoid over charging. I do this since 2012 also to other laptops like MacBook Pro, old blade 2015, current Blade stealth since 2012, non of those has battery issue. Of course when going out sometimes i plug off from the socket, but it is for saving electricity’s bill, if there's any. All its power brick are still fine as well.
long session 2 hours gaming average depends titles and synapse mode, from high 70ish to 80ish on CPU, GPU max is low 80ish. I’m using Afterburner on screen display, Intel XTU cpu graph, and HWInfo64 sensor to monitor it.
Guys...as you are RB15 owners:
I recognized that often the „X“ key is not 100% in line with the other keys. It‘s a biiiiit deeper. When you look at the pictures from online reviews you can also see it at review units. Also when you look exactly at other keys...some are also not 100% straight. Some are only a little bit higher or deeper than others (see the "Ä").
Can you cornfirm this when you check your models?

Same keyboard as yours, only bought 6 months ago, advanced 1070 FHD, it looks like this, I can notice x key not same 100% straight, when you mentioned that, and I’ve to really put attention on it like QC inspection on car surface line in a factory. There’s already showcase units in mediamarkt or Saturn in big cities. You can check there if it’s really Blade 15 issue, keys stroke is similar with mine when I tried typing on it.
Thx for your reply. It is really no issue while typing and I am more pleased when this is a general RB15 issue and not my broken unit.
I have also seen this on photos in reviews.

I just checked my old MacBook Pro and Razer Blade Stealth, both have no also 100% in line keys, not on x keys though but there’s one or two differences if I really put all my attention on it, it may also because of typing wears though.
You have two Blades and a MBP at home? o_O

Yes yesterday just got delivery from North Pole😝 joke.
It’s from different years, 2012 MacBook Pro, 2016 Blade Stealth and Blade 15 2018. Yeah I wish I can make all them 2018 model;) But they have separate functional, for printing, working and gaming. I’ve also Razer Core that can boost performance to all of them.🆒

Obviously you did well-behave last year when you get a RB15 for christmas :big_grin_:
Mine was a christmas present as well...I bought it for myself to get a present that I really want to have this year :wink_:

It looks like pressure mark, to me it’s straight RMA, did you just recognize it? I usually check unit body, screen and keyboard trackpad before running benchmarks on day one, fortunately I got great one so I didn’t have to deal with RMA unlike my late 2016.
i take the laptop with me like once every two weeks to the collage, and it's been along time since i did that, and yeah i just noticed it yesterday when i was using Photoshop, i thought something was wrong with my Photoshop so i tried to connect the laptop with my monitor but everything was fine.
so the first time something was wrong with the power outlet so i had to get a unit replacement, the second time the power brick just suddenly died, and now it's the screen, i really don't know what to do, likee should i ask them to fix the monitor or replace the whole unit or just ask for a refund :\\??

Idk exactly how to repair pressure mark, change a whole unit on only the display. If you’re not satisfied and qualified for refund you can ask refund. I would firstly rise support ticket if you bought it from Razer or contact reseller if you got it from them.

Today I went to Media Markt to check the units there. They had a base and an advance model there and both had the "issues" with mostly the same keys (X, left STRG...). So obviously it is a general problem with the RB15.

I see, thanks for checking. Here’s my other brand laptop keys, take a look at x and i keys, they’re same not in line, though it’s still nice key strokes imo. There’s also other keys that unbalanced like k and some others if I should put all my attention on it.
Btw on my local MM there’s still no base model, new stealth isn’t available yet on local is it? They offer €250 hardware guarantee for total 4 years which i find is awesome...And wait for next 19% vat free deals;)

And that appears at holy Apple products...

What does the 4 year guarantee contain?

What does the 4 year guarantee contain?

Idk exactly I just asked the Blade Guarantee and they said a year (unlike from Razer store 2 years), but the guy said that i can add MM extra 3 years guarantee over that. I think it’s normal hardware guarantee, not including stolen or break by dropping it, maybe just like other extra guarantee that they offer to their hardware, but it’s worth if you buy this thin light categories laptop which usually will show its hardware wear and issues after 2 years gaming usage.
