Razer Blade 14 2021 - Not Charging When Turned Off
Hey everyone!
I am unsure if anyone else is experiencing this issue, but I I think I may have discovered a bug or a non-working feature on my new Razer Blade 14 2021.
I noticed when the device has been "Shut-Down", it will no longer charge when you plug the charger into the Laptop when it is off.
Noticed this on several occasion during my Photography tour and attending a few of my photoshoots with a non-charged device. Luckily I did bring along my Razer charger to juice it up - but it did get me by surprise a few times.
I have also noticed my Razer Blade does not attempt to charge with a 97w USB C Charger - I was wondering if I am required to purchase the new Razer GaN 100w charger to use the USB-C Charging feature?
I am looking forward to hearing what you guys have in mind / experienced.

VueeyLePhotographyHi there, is it on newest bios version? I just tested it is fine when charging the blade 14 on off condition with usb C power adapter (65 watt from Razer book 13). And on old bios (1.01) and newest (1.06) both can be charged by it as well and also occasionally I’ve Razer powerbank and it’s also charging just like on other Razer Laptops (stealth and book 13) and also MacBook (13 and 16 I tested with the Powerbank if it matters). Try also check the bios and try to toggle usb charging options on and off see if there’s a difference if on the newest bios it still happens. Hope that help.

So sorry for the late reply - just been super busy!
Yep that was the issue! After writing this post, I found the new BIOS and it fixed the charging issues + surprisingly performed cooler with much better battery life too.
Guess my unit had a bad BIOS / Firmware.
