Razer Blade 15 (2018) or Razer Blade 15 (2019) ?

Hey guys,

I'm considering buying a Razer Blade 15 Laptop.

Now in general I'm stuck choosing between the 2018 and 2019 model.

My main question is: Lots of people complained about the temps, general processing etc.

Did it change for the 2019 model or doesn't it matter ?

So here in my town there are 2 offers right now:

  • Razer Blade 15 Advanced Model [2018], FHD, Core i7-8750H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q for 1599 €



  • Razer Blade 15 Base Model [2019], Core i7-9750H, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, GeForce RTX 2016 for 2145 €

Now my concern: Is it safe to buy the cheaper one although people complained about the temps, loud fans etc. or did the quality did change that much in the 2019 and im better off spending bout 500 € more.

I don't have a problem with the graphics card or CPU, I'm concerned about the build quality. Thats my biggest issue right now whether to choose 2018 or 2019.

    Both has same build quality with advanced model you get better cooling with vapor chamber heat sink vs heat pipe on base model and better battery capacity 80 watt on advanced vs 65 watt on base one. That extra €500 will give you around 30% graphics performance and extra ssd slot.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Actually the 2019 version is the one with one SSD Slot. So both have only one SSD slot.

    I found out that the 15 advanced model from 2018 had already the new "vapor chamber" solution so I am going with the 1599 € one, because with the extra 500 € I can buy other important things. 🙂
