Razer Blade 15 Base 2021: An alternative to the brick charger?

Hello! I would like to request a usb-c to razer charging port adapter to be made... I can't keep carrying this brick everywhere. It's really heavy and expensive to replace. Why not make an adapter? I didn't pay £200 extra back when I bought the laptop, do I have to suffer until now and keep carrying a brick with me? Initially I wanted an advanced model that could charge with usb-c but a huge discount on the base model made me buy that one instead. I would gladly pay £200 now to somehow make my laptop able to charge through usb-c... A portable laptop should have a portable charger...

USB-C is designed for 100 watts, or 3 amps of power. I doubt the laptop will run on just 100w under heavy load.

My work doesn’t require heavy load and the battery life is really bad even with the battery saver option. It’d be nice to have the option. For gaming of course the brick is a must…

there are other ways to reduce system load. bios mod is an example.

and if you still think about using a charger lower than 230w, the recharge time can increase exponentially. in power electronics you will see that bricks are common in the 200-300w range

I see your point, I’ve also older Razer blade 15 advanced that doesn’t support usb c adapter. It’s recommended using original power adapter but there’s also cheaper alternative to charge proprietary blade power connector with adapter to more affordable power brick or maybe smaller gan charger that has similar 230 watt power, check on eBay there’re plenty of them.

It’s true but the problem is OP Razer blade has proprietary power plug and the usb c doesn’t have power delivery function.

Just lab testing a Razer Blade powered by a USB-C cell phone charger to see which explodes first. HAHAHA
