Razer Blade 15 or Razer Blade Pro 17?

I'm brand new to the world of gaming laptops and I'm still working out which one I want to buy for my first. My current laptop was very much not designed for gaming and anything would be an improvement. I started developing an interest in computer games about a year ago but constantly found myself frustrated by the specs my current laptop has. Replacing it with a gaming laptop seemed like a good choice which led me to researching what I needed.
Razer has received some wildly good reviews on all the models that I've looked up and I'm leaning more and more towards getting one. The two options I'm currently looking at are the touchscreen versions of the Razer Blade 15 and the Razer Blade Pro 17. Both have the same Intel Core i7-9750H processor, GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU, and 4K screen. And since anything would be above my current setup, the other specs aren't swaying my decision either way.
I'm unfamiliar with Razer products besides what a few hours of googling have provided. So, I thought it would be a good next step to join the Razer forums and direct my questions toward people who have firsthand experience. Which of these models would you choose and why, excluding preference for screen size/details? Does either have a reputation for overheating, BSOD errors, driver problems, etc? I've never bought a laptop this expensive and I'm more than a little nervous at the idea of spending $3000+ only to have problems with what I buy.

Blade Pro has better cooling with its 4 fans cooling design and higher gpu tdp that translates to better performance. You get also screen real estate, for that you pay extra 600gr weight. BSOD is something familiar in this world, it’s mostly driver related and can be easily fixed by changing the version. For overheating, maybe you meant high temperature? Nowadays laptops will throttle down before it reach overheating (shutdown automatically because of high temperature) areas, unless you messing around (tweaking) the default bios setting. I don’t have 2019 Blade 15/17 but so far I know it has better cooling than 2018 model with higher fans rpm.

How often would you take your laptop on the go, or would you laptop stay on your desk most of the time?
raptorrowanI would first ask are you simply going to be gaming on the thing or are you using creative apps as well? are you going to be travelling with it a lot or at home > 50% of the time? if you answer that you will be travelling more I would get the 15 but if you are going to be home I would easily get the pro 17 because its performance is quite a bit better with more ports and better cooling. Especially in the case of the cpu because the cpu's in the regular blade tend to be limited to lower wattage/voltage for better cooling but less performance (I believe it is a bios thing). -freshRUBYPhlox526

Don’t get 4K screen. Get 1080p at 144hz.

Flo_HFUnfortunately I don’t have pro model, but display might be different according manufactur time, like 2018 Blade 15 there’s LG and BOE panels Blade 14 LG and AUO maybe it depends on panel manufacturers stock as well. Yes it might have differences with other panel, AUO on 2017 model has better color accuracy for professional but has more backlight bleed issue than LG, I had LG imo from casual user perspective the color is just fine.

digitalwizYou can downscale to 1440p if the game are really demanding and get resolution advantage over 1080p. Not all games are gpu demanding, latest Jedi fallen order can run @4K with 2 years old 1070maxq in 4K with respectable FPS. I believe with more powerful 2080maxq it can run 4K over 60fps easily.
Because vide cards can’t drive 4K at 144hz. So why pay more. Maybe ti desktop part can do 120hz.
