What a WONDERFUL couple of days have it been with this system!
Let’s start with the positives: this system is very cool for what it provides.
- The screen is top notch.
- The keyboard is nice.
- The form factor is a godsend.
- When it works - it’s very cool!
Then, let’s continue with the sad reality.
- Razer won’t tell you this on their front page, but there are NO DisplayPort outputs connected to the Nvidia GPU. For some reason Razer, in their mighty glory, decided to wire them through AMD GPU - yes, I mean the DP alt mode. Yes, if you disable the AMD GPU in the Device Manager - the displays will go black.
This means that you lose support for G-Sync on any monitor that uses DisplayPort. That means - more than 90% of them. Oh, also say goodbye to any wired non-standalone VR headsets such as BigScreen Beyond, Valve Index and HTC Vive Pro.

- Synapse 4 is a hot garbage mess that screws up your FPS in some games. Here it is dropping my frames from 76 to 31 because I move my mouse. The bug is gone if I close this piece of garbage: https://streamable.com/qqu635. Other issues include stuttering present in all games, frametime inconsistencies and other mess.

- You can NOT use this laptop without Synapse. As soon as you close this software, your Nvidia GPU TGP goes to 120W. Essentially rendering this device equal to Zephyrus G16.
- Support is useless. I contacted Razer Support 4 times across 3 days right now. With all due respect - the amount of stupidity I’ve observed is insane. Starting from the questions of “just to confirm, what happens if you try to use your VR headset with the HDMI port?” (nothing, because it’s physically IMPOSSIBLE TO USE IT WITH THE VR HEADSET), ending with conversations leading nowhere, “hang tight!” and “please collect logs / reinstall Synapse / Enable Nvidia GPU”.
All the “praises” you see on this forum? Those are lies.
If you are on the fence on buying this laptop - do NOT. Spare yourself the nerves and time that I right now have fun wasting. Razer dropped the ball big time on the software and very, very questionable motherboard layout choices
