Going to try and order the 4090 model tomorrow once pre-orders go live.

Will be really hard keeping it in the box for a week or so waiting for the embargo to be lifted!

Hi! I received the preorder email for Razer 16 and 18. I went in to be ready to order and I noticed that it is showing that the power adapter is only the 280w for the 4080 and 4090 models of both the 16 and 18. However, earlier reporting was reflecting that the power adapter for these higher graphics processor versions would be a 330w and that only the lower graphics processor versions would use the 280w.
Could you confirm for me that they will, in fact, ship with a 330w?

If so, would you let the website team know to update those preorder product pages?

Managed to pre-order one from a UK distributor but will be keeping it in the box until reviews on the device are out.

It would be even better if they managed to get speaker output working on Linux 😁 same goes for the blade 18.

Well they went out of stock immediately. By 6:01 I couldn't even get one.

I don't think 16" were available (for European-English) market at all, checked at 7am CET, 3pm CET and during the day. Blade 16" Nordic layout showed up (I'm not interested), which is a shame because 16" were in available in US market at the time. Razer has its own priorities (regarding markets) and it would be best if they wouldn't send the mail to EU market customers I guess if they have no plans to fill the stock.

The Nvidia RTX 40 series and Intel 13th Gen Core i9 combo is top-of-the-line, perfect for demanding creative work and high-end gaming. Will zeal share the info about the blogs of Online games visit:- https://www.will-zeal.net/

How well do these laptops run with the lid closed? My simracing rig is in a pretty tight spot. I’ve been running my old laptop closed in a vertical position with the hinge on top without any issues (other than the laptop being old). It looks like the exhaust vents on the new Blade 16 are in that hinge area and are about as open with the system closed as it is when the lid is open.

So, the TL:DR version is, can the Blade 16 run reasonably with the lid closed or is it motherboard suicide?

As long you have control the temperature the motherboard will be fine but not sure about the display since nowadays gaming laptops use any output to push out the heat including from keyboard which’s directly pointing to screen if you put it on clamshell mode, including Razer blade, not sure on current models but I think heat output is the same. You can use laptops vertical stand with capability to open the lid a bit for better airflow through keyboard, there’re some stand on Amazon that has that capability.

Hi! I’ve received my Razer Blade 16 4090 and I enjoy it alot. It came with a 330w power adapter. Unfortunately, Razer doesn’t yet have stock of extra 330w power adapters, and I want to purchase two more.

Razer has a listing for those 330w adapters: https://www.razer.com/gaming-pc-accessories/Razer-330W-Power-Adapter/RC30-04840200-B3U1 , but they are not yet available.

I have 3 power adapters left over from my Razer Blade 17 Pro 2020 (2080super). They have the same voltage and the only difference seems to be that they produce 230w instead of 330w.

Here is the item for the 230w: https://www.razer.com/gaming-pc-accessories/Razer-230W-Power-Adapter/RC30-02480100-B3U1

230w should be enough to get by when I would use those other adapters (until I can purchase the extra 330w adapters).

So, my question is, is it alright for me to use my old Razer Blade 17 Pro 230w adapters on my Razer Blade 16 4090?

Hello razer support. Currently using Blade 16 Mini-Led for content creation. I wonder if razer planning to add single zone dimming feature to the screen? This is going to help a lot and make the screen more useful for artist and designers.

Is it just me, or is the 3:2 ratio of type A vs C ports a bit on the wrong side in 2023?

I'd happily switch one of the type A ports for 2 type C; or even a single type C.

I'm also ambivalent regarding the HDMI port.  Is that still relevant for anything
other than TV sets these days? 🤣

I got my Razer Blade 16 w/ 4090. So far, I’m very happy with it. They implemented a battery charging limiter (one of my biggest concerns). The laptop does whatever I want at great framerates. Ultimately, I’m very happy with the laptop. (I just need to expand the SSD storage)

I had hoped the HDMI port this year would let me push my Neo G9 monitor through HDMI with 240hz at 5120x1440 - but either as a limit of the HDMI input to the monitor or as a limit to the HDMI output on the laptop - it only lets me get to 144hz.  This leaves me where I was before - pushing my monitor through a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter into a displayport input for the monitor (which lets me get 5120x1440@240hz and 10 bit color).

I had also hoped that the HDMI input would make the sleep/wake-up process more seamless as, sometimes, I’ve had to unplug and replug the USB-C to get it to wake the monitor.  I still seem to have that issue (though less so).

This would also have given me back the USB-C port.

Aside from all that, I do wish they had given us multiple thunderbolt 4 ports this year.  I kind-of wish we could just all magically be converted to all devices using USB-C and stop with the legacy issues.

Best,
Reais
