Razer Blade 18 (2024) 4090 - Unable to update firmware 1.00

I’ve followed various forum posts in an attempt to install the first firmware update to get my BIOS from 1.00 to 1.04.

I’ve done the following:

Disabled all Device Security Settings (Core Isolation, Memory Integrity, Local Security Authority protection, Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist)

Disabled all Real-time scanning

Turned off completely bitlocker (no drives encrypted)

Disabled Secure Boot, Fast Boot

Performed multiple attempts of disabling driver signing on boot and running firmware update

Updated to the latest Intel firmware

I cannot get this firmware to load. When I click on the loader and give it admin rights, when I hit update and the progress bar jumps and then it reboots.

I was able to update the EC / Keyboard firmware without issue.

 

At this point I’m almost ready to give up. Any thoughts?

I have the same exact issue and symptoms, and I did all of the above without success.  I am thinking about returning the laptop.

Same issue here! I did follow guide to turn off Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist and other what was mentioned in first post but it didnt help either. Stuck on endless loop of updating from bios 1.0

On top of that I cannot connect my Blade 18 with my Razer Core X.

I think the only option for me is to return the laptop now...

Same for me.  Getting extremely frustrated with a $4k laptop and no support from Razor.

Same here, though only tried the “official” instruction from this site:

Am waiting for further Razer confirmation before messing with further settings.

And GPU is 4080.
