Razer Blade Stealth (2016) - Lots of Problems
Hi!
As the thread title suggests, my 2016 Razer Blade Stealth is acting up for the first time in 3 years. So all of this started when I tried to update to Windows 1903.
So the issues I am currently facing are:
1. My laptop freezes after rebooting, irrespective of whether or not there is an update installation pending. I have to long press the power button and restart for windows to boot up normally
2. I am unable to install/download most windows updates. Had to install Windows 1903 manually via media creation tool.
3. Every time I check for updates, the laptop starts heating up. Same heating up problem happens when I connect (USB C) it to an external monitor (LG 27UK850W)
4. I am unable to left click on my touch - pad (right click works perfectly fine). Gestures are also not working (even after downloading the precision drivers).
I tried contacting the support team with the same issue a week back, there has been no revert. Hopefully I can get some help over here.

I would roll it back if windows update is the culprit before the roll back partition is automatically deleted. I’m using 2016 v2 stealth, on 1809 with no issues at all. Sometimes I hate windows update, updated it to 1809 for SSD upgrade same with media creation tool skipping I think 2 windows version which saving updating time a lot.
Probably due new windows there’s a lot drivers compatibility or optimization issues, maybe would be solved with the time, but for now probably better rolling back.
MonishMThe fact that you are having heat issues and a problem with your trackpad crop up at the exact same time is a little worrisome. It make me worry you're experiencing the beginnings of a battery bulge issue. Please be very careful and keep a close eye on your laptop, especially when it is plugged in and charging, until you can nail down a solution to the issue. If you notice the chassis starting to become warped, you need to stop using it immediately.
