I have a question about the Razer Core X. If I were to install a GTX 1660 Super into it and connect it to my Razer Blade 15 with a GTX 1060, will the two graphics cards work together like an SLI?

I do not think so. The SLI goes between two graphics cards that are right next to each other with a large bus. Plus, it would just not make sense. By the time you spend the money on a Core X, you might as well get a better graphics cards.

Well I need the Core X in order to even use a better graphics card. Thank you for the response though.
By the time you spend $400 on a Core X, you might as well get a big step up in the GPU. I would go with a 1 or two generation step up.

Does a 1080 ti black series sound good?
I really like that card a lot. I do have to say, that I am partial the ray tracing and DLSS. You will need to figure out which GPU plays the games you want to play.

What about the RTX 2070 Super? It's cheaper and more powerful than the 1080 ti.
I really like the RTX 2070 Super. That will be my next GPU.

No dual gpu works on TB3 external gpu setting especially with internal dgpu, you should disable one of them or windows would automatically detect only one of them. I’d recommend better gpu than 1660 super, due TB3 bandwidth limitation and penalty you won’t see huge performance bump with your 1060maxq, 2070 super or 1080ti is great, I was using 1080ti with Blade 14 gtx1060.
Is even SLI a thing anymore? I think there was a lot of buzz about this a little while ago, but that buzz and excitement have subsided. Given the power requirements, size and heat output I don't think SLI is a good option for being inside a single enclosure like a desktop, and likewise in a egpu setup having multiple egpus will not work well (or at all?) due to thunderbolt bandwidth
