Thanks for your replies.
And, yes, sure, there is a majority of unhappy guys who post on forums but I don't see that kind of frequency of unhapiness with every brand... The unit I had was fine but the poor battery life and the below average confidence I had in the products given all bad advices I had read were questioning me even before I see those dead pixels...
I then remember thought that with a mate screen this had much less chance to occur.
And there is this new Stealth. But now I can see that the coiled wine that was finally fixed is back... Not very encouraging to be honest :/
Well, I might wait for some other reviews before I decide to give another try through Amazon. Knowing that I have nothing wrong with my Dell XPS 13 except it's beginning to getting old and for sure I can't play much with it, even in low specs...

to be honest, the only issues I have are the crackle from the speakers which was fixed with older drivers and is clearly a software issue; the coil whine from the SSD which is from the lite-on SSD and will affect you depending on how sensitive your hearing is; and intermittent trackpad issues which may be fixed with a software update although I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. Battery life ~8:30-9-30 hours (the latter on battery saver mode). Otherwise, the laptop is great. I have no issues with the USB-C port like other have mentioned. The keyboard shift key on the right is an annoyance but the speakers, screen, build quality/size are all great.

JoikansaiI was referring more to competing laptops like hp x360, think pad, and even apple. Now I know xps 13 has two fans. But razers seem to have bigger fans and definitely more heatpipes. So t just surprised me how nice it was to use and it actually stayed cool. Most of these small laptops have small noisy fans. Was that the huawai laptop with the mx150 you had?
Actually previous stealth has already dual fans, so it’s really designed for huge cpu usage. From reviews it’s actually the best thermal on MX150 laptops. Yes unfortunately there’s seemly still issues this early batch. Btw I had before MX150 ultrabook with single fan, it was a nightmare laptop all running hot literally I can’t gaming on it, not a year it shows already defective parts. I saw on Razer subreddit there’s also user who received perfect unit, he said has no of possibility issues that notebookcheck reviewer mentioned. I had only one issue with Razer Blade I bought, it was late 2016 so I rejected that and got 2017 model, it was great without hardware issue for 14 months gaming usage before I sold it for Blade 15, and Blade 15 works also like a champ in this 6 months usage. My current stealth v2 works still fine as well almost 2 years, waiting for its lifespan but seemly have to wait longer, still considering if I’ve to sell it for stealth MX150 or keeping it.
BaffTechYou should join me and @Joikansai over on Notebookreview.com. Msi, Alienware, Clevo, Gigabyte. . .all the brands on one forum. Trust me they all have complaints and issues. Some more than others, but overall it seems they all are about the same and have terrible customer support. That's just the reality of it all. To be fair I've heard the xps 13 is plagued with coil whine too ever since the first model. So it's unforunetly common. Even my blade 14 has it. But, it was very faint. So it never bothered me. If you can wait until after CES, like I said I will be getting something for sure. If it's another Blade Stealth I will share my experience here on the forums for sure.

TK-1987Second gen xiaomi mi Air 13, it was nice having MX150 in an ultrabook, could gaming on go but unfortunately it was too hot to me, and lack of TB3 port is huge trade off even though the price is right, especially for someone like me that has Razer Core, even my old MacBook Pro 2012 with tb1 can be paired with it even with super limited 1/4 Blade bandwidth. It was similar price with stealth v2 refurbished, I was right sold it for stealth, better cpu 7200U vs 7500U on stealth plus TB3 feature. I could play around even with a 2080ti;) I saw also Mate Pro has also similar issue bad cooling design and cpu throttle a lot on egpu setting.

Still baffles me how they can make this sort of tech and performance and keep it relatively cool!
Think I will be investing in one of these when it arrives in the UK.

I would take this anytime over my asus chromebook flip, but I'd still rather go with the lowest end Blade 15 which is the same price.

The other issue with the trackpad is that when you click with the side of your thumb, after clicking, if the base of your thumb leaves the trackpad last because you lift your thumb up starting with the tip, the cursor jumps a small distance because it thinks you moved your thumb. It's just amazing how apple has managed to get the trackpad perfectly and window, even after all these years, has still fumbled the trackpad

JoikansaiYeah I heard mixed things about xiaomi products. So I'm gonna stick to brands I know. Lol. Currently my travel laptop is my Hp x360. So that added boost of an mx150 would let me play light titles on the go. My Hp did hook up to my razer core just fine, but it only had one fan and it ran at 100% when connected to the core. So not ideal. That's why I made a HTPC with a small case so I can just use that when I'm at home. Once CES is over next week I'll be trying to decide if I'll try another Razer Stealth or try something else. I also might be selling my Razer Core. Whether or not I'll replace it with a Core X is up in the air.

TK-1987Xiaomi can copy Apple and doing great budget phones, and some vacuum cleaner but not gaming gears they’re 10 years too early for that, thousands (only my expression) Mi Air 13 with MX150 broken due thermal, Blade only hot on heat output areas on top but not too hot to touch, Mi Air hot entire body and keyboard as well only screen that that literally touchable. Reviewers only take a look first or two weeks usage but not using it long period. Yes I can’t wait also what comes in CES 2019, i saw Aero15x teasing an update, 3Dmark Ray Tracing benchmark, and possibility Turing mobile gpu.

JoikansaiNoted. I'll never consider one. Lol. If they update the Aero15x I might consider that. Out of all the current thin and light gaming laptops that one got the best battery life. And that's my whole reason for wanting a smaller 13" laptop. But, if I can get that with better hardware I'm sold. It does run hot though. But most of them do at that size.

TK-1987They’re bad in Keyboard and trackpad department, it comes also with a lot bloatware, I’m not defending Blade but if that’s also important to you, should first testing it in local store. You know already well Blade keyboard, it’ll be downgrade imo, now Blade 15 is even with huge precious trackpad, almost MacBook trackpad tracking experience. What I’m exciting about is the new gpu, because they don’t have anything to update atm (only those I mentioned above imo), hardware wise depends on intel and Nvidia. About new H cpu idk exactly but with new Turing mobile gpu there’s already some solid leaks like specs and benchmarks number as well, though it’s only rumors level. This will make the competition on thin light categories better, that what i like. I must admitted that they brought firstly last year this 1070maxq Laptop on the market, but I like better not to be rushed and make solid update especially with new gpu. I like last year Blade 15 update, even though there was early batch issue, but overall this is a solid laptop in my opinion, it likes always, sexy laptop ala MacBook (now the dimension is pretty similar despite the thickness) that can gaming well.

JoikansaiThat might be something to consider too. My blade 14 was a joy to type on. I had it for my final semester in college and I did all my homework assignments by typing. And I got very quick and used to it. So it is the gold standard for keyboards currently. But, right now I'm still waiting on my refund for my Blade Stealth. I emailed them early last week and they said it had arrived and I'd have my refund in 2-3 days. 5 days later I'm still waiting. Even when I ordered it I was having communication issues with them. So it's leaving a sour taste in my mouth. If I get another one I'll get it through the microsoft store. I do know that of you get a good laptop from razer that they do last. My 14 still works. Just haven't sold it or given it away yet. I did have the new blade 15 for maybe three days back when it was first released. But I got terrible battery life. Maybe 2 hours. So I returned it quickly. Which is a shame because the build quality was very Mac like. Felt solid and the keyboard and track pad were awesome. So that's why I don't have one of those. Honestly I might be rooting for Dell to have an updated XPS 15 soon. Lol. True true. Their mercury white one is stunning. Like I said mine didn't get good battery life though. I probably got a bad unit. But, again since I got a less than perfect Blade Stealth I just have bad luck with Razer lately. Fingers crossed my next one is a keeper. I'd rather not be returning and exchanging laptops more than I'm using them.

So a quick update on my RBS19: It's on its way to Germany to get fixed. I had terrible issues with the discharging while plugged in and gaming. I had issues with coil whine, speakers and so on.
At this point I'm not even that frustrated about the coil whine. it was barely audible, but the fact that the GPU is staying at around 70% under load and delivering low FPS in games that are not that demanding, is not good enough!

TK-1987Didn’t remember how was my Blade 14 battery life for first week open box but I got also bad battery life out of box but not 2 hours, like 3 or 4, thought due windows update and optimization background (maybe it’s also a reason), but found that gpu switcher on my right bottom taskbar, near battery indicator, eat quite wattage, I got only 4 hours because discharges rates was around near 20wat, so closed that apps manually with battery saver mode and other setting like lowering things, it down to 10 watt that translates 6 hours plus on 80watt battery capacity, sometimes battery Mark even shows 9 hours. Yes I crossed also my fingers you got it back sooner with all issues addressed.

DroglezAnd cpu usage hitting100%? About speakers maybe by simple updating the driver? Coil whine that I saw somewhere it was similar with Blade 14 late 2016, it was addressed with firmaware update.

JenjarI just wish it came at a better price point, and that the standard model came with the graphics we want.
Nice to see this design coming to the blade stealth, and its also nice that it comes with a slight upgrade over the intel graphics now, bigger SSD's would be nice on the lower end model as a option though.

Cornbread0331What graphics do you want? MX150 is sweat spot for ultrabook size without worrying about the temperature. There’s 1050maxq ultrabook as well but you’ll loose other important feature in ultrabook, like TB3 port, longer battery life or windows Hallo from new stealth. About pricing, yes anyone want better price of course but if comparing to MacBook and xps 13 without proper gpu it’s maybe quite fair price.

JoikansaiThe base model comes with Intel UHD Graphics 620 at 1,399. The sweet spot graphics doesnt come till you upgrade the model to 1,599. It would be sweet if the base had the MX150, but I understand trying to apply to a wide market base. It fits my needs super well though, I am hopefully going to be able to invest in one and a razer core soon.
What graphics do you want? MX150 is sweat spot for ultrabook size without worrying about the temperature. There’s 1050maxq ultrabook as well but you’ll loose other important feature in ultrabook, like TB3 port, longer battery life or windows Hallo from new stealth. About pricing, yes anyone want better price of course but if comparing to MacBook and xps 13 without proper gpu it’s maybe quite fair price.

I'm looking at picking one of these up in the next few days to replace my Blade 14. I hardly ever game on the go and my work is comprised mostly of word processing, so battery life is more important to me than power. My Blade 14 is decent for intense workloads on-the-go, but it routinely lasts between 2 and 3 hours.
Right now I am looking at the baseline model of the Stealth (256gb/8gb/integrated) versus the next model up (256gb/16gb/mx150). I'd rather stick with the laptop that will deliver the most battery life, which is the former, but I don't want to hamstring myself with 8gb of ram. Money isn't really a factor here, so the price difference is not a concern.
Is there anyone with experience that can comment on the realistic battery life/performance differences between these two models?

Just ordered my new Stealth from Amazon!
Will be my first Razor product, hopefully it will be ok as its my dream laptop :-)
One question I have, is will I be able to game with the same level of performance on battery as I would when its plugged in???
My last gaming laptop throttled down when unplugged, and I could never solve the issue.
Thanks for your help!

DroglezAhhh that's a bummer! Do you think yours was faulty and the reason why It didn't work? Its almost a deal breaker for me if I cant. I don't have easily accessible power sockets at work, and my plan with the RBS was to be able to play for an hour on my lunch break, before coming home to plug it into a Razer core for evening gaming on a 1080 Ti.
I was definetly not able to. But I have had quite a few issues with mine aswell, so you might be good to go.

Did anyone else buy the 13" sleeve for the 2019 Stealth? Mine doesn't fit.
Also, I've noticed WiFi drops and 50/50 performance on if the USB-C charger is actually charging.

KeppelLAPISLAZULIhead224Protective sleeve seemly too tight, it’s made for previous stealth cassis, 2019 one is a bit thicker.
