Thunderbolt Dock as a KVM/KM Switch?

Hi, I am considering a Thunderbolt 4 dock to support the rest of my Razer set up and all the other stuff I want to plug in. I have my main stack but also use an HP Laptop from work. I currently use a KM switch to redirect my keyboad and mouse to the laptop and then toggle between Display Port and HDMI for my main screen. I couldn't use a full KVM because of the woeful lack of ports on the lappy. 1 USB port! I ask you. Will the Thunderbolt replace my KM switch? Work with it? Break it the connection? Require a complicated set up of leads and wires? Any advice much appreciated. Sekhy :confused_:
