Trackpad Scrolling Not Smooth on 2022 Blade 15 and 17 | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

There is an issue where if the system is put into a deep sleep (S3 power state) and the system comes back from sleep, the multi touch gestures on the trackpad like scrolling will not work correctly. There was some work done in this previous thread to isolate the issue:

https://insider.razer.com/topic/show?tid=41416&fid=14

Eventually the conclusion we reached was that the I2C HID Device was not initializing correctly after a sleep state. Now a BIOS update did recently come out for these systems and it did not resolve the issue. I am creating a new thread to hopefully get Razer's attention on this issue once more.

I also contacted Razer support but they just want to do a warranty claim and have me send the device in for service which does not make sense at all since this is an issue that affects all 15 and 17 inch 2022 models.

A temporary fix can be found in the thread I linked above for the issue, but you need to use task scheduler and drop a batch file in the windows directory. More details are in that thread above.

Thanks again

Confirming that this issue is not fixed. I’ve been complaining about it ever since I purchased my computer from Razer and their support has been insanely unhelpful about it. I only recently discovered that many others are having this issue and have followed much of the advice in that thread the OP mentioned. But obviously, would be great for Razer to fix this issue themselves.

I have been running that fix in task scheduler and I haven't even thought about it until this reply came up. If you are running Linux there is also a similar fix for that as well.

Yes unfortunately I already went through support and filmed a video showing it does occur on the original factory image. I am still waiting for a proper fix like a firmware update.

I don’t think replacing the touchpad will fix the issue, right?

Because Razer asked me to send it back to fix it.

Unfortunately it won't
