I'm trying to update my system bios from 1.04 to 1.06 but when I run the Razer Updater, it will only run for a second before restarting my system and keeps the bios on 1.04.

did you find a solution, i am unable to update my bios (razerblade 15 2019 adv 031x)

I had to factory reset the pc and the core isolation setting was finally on , then i had to update multiple times evrything and finally installed the latest bios successfully

I tried the method above, but it didn't seem to work for me. 

However, I was messing around with log files and found another updater inside my C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Update Tool directory. I used that updater instead of the ones I found online, and it successfully updated from 1.03 to 1.06.

Hopefully, this helps someone in the future trying to look for a solution.

I am also having this issue. I’ve tried all the steps listed in this thread and nothing has worked. I’m stuck on v1.0.4. Has anyone solved this?

I finally found it.

You must turn off Secure Boot through BIOS SETUP and install after Windows starts up.

Thanks everyone for the help here. Even with the info it took me an hour to figure out. This is how I did it:

• Disable secure boot: restart the laptop and rapidly tap F1 whilst booting up. Opens the BIOS update. Within there, you can go to startup (use left/right arrow keys to switch tabs) and enter Secure Boot which is one of the options in there. Default was enabled for me, so I disabled. Pressed F4 to save and restart.
• Use Windows Security to turn off settings: in Windows Security app, go to ‘Device Settings’ and ‘Core Isolation Details’. Turn off both ‘Memory Integrity’ and ‘Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist’.
• The downloaded update app does not work! You must update from the default Razer updater.
• Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Update Tool  and in there you’ll find an app called ‘Razer Updater’. Note: the computer thinks it’s the same as the BIOS updater you may have downloaded from Razer’s website, so make sure that’s been exited out of or the updater won’t restart.
• Run the Razer Updater app and it’ll look identical to the BIOS updater downloaded from Razer. However, when you update from here it should actually work.

Absolutely ridiculous that it’s so hard to update such an expensive laptop.

This worked for me… I cannot thank you enough!! I had given up a year ago, but disabling the MS driver blocklist is the solution I’ve been looking for .
