Downloaded the new synapse because I was having another problem with my Basilisk V3 Pro in Synapse 3’s Chroma Studio. Switching fixed that issue, but now my Blackwidow V4 Pro doesn’t appear in Chroma Studio in the new version. Have updated the firmware, have restarted multiple times, have tried unplugging and plugging it back in, have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Synapse.
Hmmm… It is on Current Supported Devices - UPDATED 3/1/24 | Razer Insider.
This shouldn't be happening.

This page will teach you how to download and use an official Razer app that has the function of generating a log file of your problem.
After generating the log file, which should be around 40MB or so, upload this file to the cloud and share it and generate a link to share it when you send it to the support staff.
Because the support page only supports up to 20MB per file.
With this in hand, I believe you will be able to speed up your service.
I did this myself today with my problem of not being able to run Macros.

While that gave me more to go on, no real help I could glean from it. No errors related to my keyboard and see it int he json payloads it’s logging.
Unplugged everything except the keyboard and Chroma Studio says no chroma enabled devices detected, but the JSON payloads say otherwise

My problem too, does not show errors, anyway my Macros aren't working well. So I've sent a log to them since I know they will demand it from you sometime in the attendance.
Well found part of the issue. The payload that gets the Chroma deivces doesn’t include an SVG for the keyboard.

Well, If you can't change it directly, then at least you can send the precise point of the issue to the support team.
The devs have identified this to be a known issue and should be addressed in the next release. Thanks for all your help!

Hmmm, it's seem that you are “updated” every day you open it. Could it be true or is it a bug or should it be a “last update checked” message written wrong? Who knows?

Tangentially, I found a Firmware update for my keyboard that fixed other lighting issues. My firmware was on 1.00.0X so a bit dated. I will try to re-install the new Chroma beta later today to see if the firmware update had any positive impact.

I bet on a bad UI/UX. After all, this is a Beta.
I hope they resolve this soon as it is wrong information and creates misunderstanding.

I'm still here without being able to use macros in the Beta, and I normally use macros daily, so this is annoying for me.
let me know if you ever find a fix as i went thru abt a weeks worth of chatting with some of the reddit responding people on r/razer and literally tried everything they did and nothing worked. still have to use old synapse unfortunatly. btw am i able to use macros on old synapse???

After you uninstall you just need to remove the residual files/folders. Do the following:
1.) Delete anything that’s labeled with Razer in:
2.) Use a tool such as CCleaner to clean the registry of anything with Razer entries.
3.) Restart and install the old version of Synapse...no issues.
Looks like this fix finally got out! Will add that the reverse, pause/play, forward, and mute media keys are reversed in how they apply. At least I can finally setup my keyboard colors again, though!
