Can't update nova launcher

Ours is a RP version of Nova (which is themable via the theme store) so it's on a separate path than the normal APK even in beta.

But I have succeeded upgrading to Nova 6.0beta on my RP1

Unless they update it in the next OTA I'm afraid so. Or Nova upload a razer version on the play store. I think most of the changes to it from 5 to 6 is pie enhancements though.

Nova 6.0 beta 4 here....go into Nova settings and check updates there. Have had zero problems with themes since updating btw. Fyi, Beta is now up to 15...I just haven't bothered updating Nova in a long time but it says it's there for me to download if I want it.

The normal version can be install on razer phone. I have successfully installed 6.0 beta 13.

I literally just installed 6.0 Beta 13 just to make sure it works and it definitely does. Download from within Nova Settings then go to folder and run the app you just downloaded and it updates in seconds.

I just get app not installed when I tried on RP2

Weird, I'm on RP1 though so maybe they changed how it works for RP2.

Yes u did. Because u did it on razer phone original (I) not II. I asked about razer phone II not I. On the first phone I updatet launcher. I tired on phone II. And doesn't work. That's why I opened the thread. It seems Razer won't let us update nova. Nova developers aren't going to make a "razer II" APK just for us. That doesntd have sense neither profit for developers...

I thought that the nova launcher versions of both 1 and 2 are shared so I'd make a mistake.

I had same idea until I found nova on I is able to update but II unable....

The problem here is that the razer specific version of Nova has a newer version code of all other versions, which prevents Android from installing the newer version since it's actually “older” than the current version.

That's weird for the RP2, given the OG Razer is on 6.0-beta14.
