Upgrading new SSD or extra RAM will boid warranty?

It depends on the warranty There are cases that some consumer product warranty is not voided by altering the original specs. But for most computer consumer products including RAZER, I believe the warranty does get avoided if you do change the original component specs. For computer manufactures; except for the hardware components they give you, all other third party components are considered as foreign. The laptop company will not take responsibility of the damage that was caused by the foreign components. They will only take responsibility if the components they release show signs of defect. For example, I think it was Samsung Galaxy Note 6 or 8 that was initial launched with a bad battery. Samsung had to recall all their phones back, and customers warranty was not voided because Samsung's original design was problematic. Just keep that in mind before you go ahead with this upgrade; but do speak to the seller for information on the warranty.

Hello, im new here so please forgive me if this some sort of stupid question but I really dont want to mess this up. I want to either add a new SSD or increase RAM on my Blade 15 Base but im not sure if it will void the warranty. Does any one have experience on this topic. Thanks in advance!!

Blade 15 base model come with empty slot ssd (despite older 2018 base that comes with secondary 2.5 hdd), it’s for user to upgrade themselves if default ssd isn’t enough (which I think not for nowadays use case) so opening it and upgrade it won’t void the guarantee, it’s same with replacing the ram, it’s slot ram so user can upgrade it themselves as well. However if the new part or the upgrading process breaks the system hardware and software wise it might void the guarantee. So it’s recommended doing it properly and keep the original parts in case it doesn’t work with the system or later you need to send the blade for repair. I believe concerning blade hardware there’s also QA that mentioned all things above you can check blade support page for your model. Hope this help.
