Razer Optical Linear Red Gen 2.

Broke the thread on one taking of a keycap in a rush, found some places that sell the gen 1 switch bit not the gen 2 with the silicon dampeners. Before I attempt a patch glue job, anybody have any idea where I might get one? Ta

    Unfortunately I have the same problem. I ordered directly from Razer and only received 1st generation switches (Razer Huntsman TL). Then I wrote to the support who don't even know the difference between the red switches of the 1st and 2nd gen. The support couldn't help me. We all got lost on the topic. 0/10

    The Huntsman T.E only has the 1st gen linear optical switches. You cant get the 2nd gen switches in the Huntsman T.E, so im not sure why you were contacting support for something that doesnt exist.

    The support did not even know that there are switches of the 2 gen. But it's nice that people react quickly here. My question when will the switches of the 2nd gen. For the Razer Huntsman TE?

    I mean if you are talking about the Huntsman T.E then those switches dont exist for them and so support not knowing about them seems fair. But in any case there is no news of if at all the 2nd gen switches would be added to the Huntsman T.E. There might be new keyboards in the works so my advice would be to either go for the 60% Huntsman Mini if you can get used to a 60% keyboard otherwise wait for newer models to be announced.
