Battery swelling

I have a 2020 Blade 15 base model, and noticed a burning smell coming from the computer. I couldn't find the source of the smell but the battery does look a little bloated to me. Can anyone confirm if this is what a swollen battery looks like, or if this is normal appearance? I can't remember what it's supposed to look like.

Did it look "normal" before you disassembled the back? I have noticed that mine is kind of swelling and the sides were all lifted a little bit. I started worrying it will only get worse.

I'm not sure, the last time I took the back off was to install that extra SSD two years ago. I have noticed that the trackpad was more difficult to click lately but attributed that to the fact that I use multiple computers and I got used to my mac. I pulled the battery out and the trackpad is easy to click again, so I assume it was swollen and pressing against it.

Hi guys! That looks like a swollen battery. If you have the right tools, it's safe to remove the battery to avoid any further damage. PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and start a case for a battery replacement request. *Thread locked to curb conversation to PM.
