Synapse 2 won't open unless IPV6 is disabled

I just ran into this problem today, don't know why it happened or how. Synapse was working fine yesterday until when I booted up my PC today and Synapse would just freeze when I tried to open it. I tried reinstalling it, but would always encounter the "Network Not Available" upon login. It seemed to have been resolved when I disabled IPV6, but I don't want to keep doing that since IPv6 will be a necessity soon enough. What could I do to fix this? I just want to use Synapse normally again.
