Touchpad not responding - Razer Blade 2018
Hi
My touchpad suddenly stopped working on my Apr 2018 Razer Blade (it's the older model with smaller screen, not 15").
Built-in keyboard, backlight and built in mouse buttons all working.
There was no software update or change - just booted it one time and it doesn't respond to touchpad input at all. I've since tried a bunch of hard & soft reboots.
I'm using ubuntu 16.04. Ubuntu recognizes and thinks it can control the touchpad settings, so I suspect it's a hardware issue.
There's no sign of battery swelling which seemingly has caused trackpad issues for other people. I've also tried cleaning the touchpad as much as possible.
Does anyone know any tricks to diagnose whether it's a hardware issue, or if there's a way to remove the trackpad unit and clean it underneath? Alternatively, would removing the battery potentially reset the trackpad and bring it back to life? On other laptops I've found that some devices don't properly power down until the battery is removed.
Thanks
