Help with connecting to a second monitor with Blade 15 (2018)

Hello, I recently purchased a VG248QE as a second monitor and wanted to connect it with my blade 15. I am using Thunderbolt 3 to DP but the problem is now both my laptop and the second monitor is using IGPU and I think it has to do with the cables I am using. Which cables do I need to have 144hz on the second monitor and also have it using the dedicated GPU? Thanks in advance.

    Mini DP to DP cable is all you need.
