Razer kraken tournament edition static sound

So I have been a proud owner of the Razer kraken TE for about 2 months now and it worked perfectly.. Until today that is. I came home from work just to hear some very loud static coming from the headset after booting up my pc. Did some messing around and found out that the headset works fine if I change it to Chat mode in the windows sounds, if I put back into Game, the static gets back. It never happened like this before, currently tried restarting my pc and reinstalling the Razer kraken TE drivers.
