Razer Blade 15 2019 Advance 2070Maxq Swollen Battery

Seadragon
Hi, I have bought my Razer blade 15 2019 Advanced module in March 2019, now after a little more than one year's use, the battery has swollen. Most of the time, I have the power cable plugged in when working or gaming with it. Today I unplug it to work elsewhere, and I found the touch pad very rigid, and it requires a lot of pressure to click. So I open the back of blade, and found a swollen battery. The battery swollen now has affect the use of the touch pad, and I'm worried if it would cause any safety problem in the future. So please tell me how to have this problem solve? Should I send the laptop to after-sales service? or I can just change the battery myself. Now I live in China. Thanks!

You should contact the reseller so they can assist you with the battery replacement. You're likely to send it in for repair, but I cannot recommend DIY fixes, especially when it comes to the battery-related issues.

hello. im experiencing the same problem. im using razer blade for a year now and i noticed yesterday that the battery has swollen. i purchse the laptop in bestbuy california USA and im currenty living here in the philippines. i could probably get a battery replacement on september 2020 witch is two months from now. my question is: is it safe to remove the battery of my razer balde and use it without battery at all to prevent it from destroying the chasis? thanks

Hi there, I'm having the same issue with my Razer Blade 15 2019 Advanced Model with RTX 2080 Max-Q. The upper section of the trackpad won't click anymore. After opening the laptop, the battery's swollen. I live in Brazil and I've purchased it in the US in May 2019. How can I have it repaired? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is safe to remove the battery of the laptop. That said, I cannot confirm if it will work without the battery at all. I have not tried, nor have I heard anyone try that yet.
