Razer Lancehead Wireless sporadic tracking/stops tracking

I've owned this Lancehead for not even a year and it has already been replaced for a similar issue. For the majority of the time it works as it should but has moments that it just stops tracking the mouse (mouse buttons still work) or it has very sporadic tracking where it's skipping a lot. Apparently there was a firmware update at some point that fixed some issues I was having as well but the firmware updater just doesn't detect my mouse at all. The issues appear in both wireless and wired mode, with synpase running or without synapse running and persists on different systems. I've tried reinstalling synapse numerous times, remove the device completely and have it reinstall, different USB ports for both the mouse and dongle and I've tried resetting the calibration by holding LMB,RMB and scroll wheel to no avail. This issue is extremely annoying in games and is driving me nuts. Any ideas or possible fixes are welcome as the replaced mouse is no longer covered by warranty.
