Huntsman Elite Keyboard - Volume knob skips up/down when turning

I've been experiencing this issue for quite a while now. I found another thread on here, where several other users were experiencing the same thing, but the thread is now locked. /huntsman-elite-volume-wheel-skipping-levels-working-on-its-own.48446/ Was this ever explained or resolved? I'm almost 100% certain it's a software thing and not a hardware thing(sometimes the wheel works flawlessly).

    I certainly could use an answer to this as well. Originally I thought it was just my old computer(which had issues on its own) but it's doing it on my new computer as well. It's frustrating to not have a feature you paid extra for.
