Razer Kraken TE THX - Audio Issue

Audio seems somewhat muffled and quite quiet even at max volume on the Audio Control Box, in-line mic and computer side. Tried having THX and surround turned off,reinstalling synapse a couple of times, updating drivers and look over the forums for an answer to no avail. I tried not using the ACB that comes with the headphones and that seems to get rid of my issue of low volume, but now I have no surround(understandably). Any help would be great.
