Blade 15 usb c charging issue - help

I am trying to charge with hyperjuice charger https://www.hypershop.com/products/hyperjuice-100w-usb-c-gan-charger If I sleep the laptop, it charges. If I power off the laptop, it charges If I sleep the laptop, it charges, and then open it the laptop will continue to charge How come!! I thought the laptop is usb charging compatible. It is not possible to bring that huge brick charger out!!!
