Specialization Mode keeps reverting back to Stereo

My Specialization Mode setting keeps reverting back to Stereo. I have THX Spatial as my default device. I have a Razer Nari Headset. Any help please? Also do I need to buy THX Spatial Audio - Surround Sound Application to use the Game Mode function in Synapse?
