Is my unit broken? Loud fan coil whine noise/tone in idle

My brand new Blade 15 base model with 2070 Max-Q (bought in Germany) has a very noticeable fan coil whine in idle and light internet browsing mode. Is that normal or should I return the unit? The sound can be described as a constant tone that sometimes slowly winds up or down. When the tone is constant, it has a fast oscillation in frequency. The air noise is not noticeable at that state. CPU usage is at about 7-12% and the NVIDIA card is not in use. Should I return the unit or is that normal? If it is normal, I think I will get another laptop, this is not acceptable for a laptop in this price category. It would be a pity though, the laptop is lovely otherwise.

It depends on the severity of the noise, but since it's not something beyond you can tolerate, I highly recommend that you get a replacement if you still have that option. Do send me the serial number of the laptop and a short clip detailing the issue should you want to try to troubleshoot. *Locking the thread to curb the conversation to PMs.
