Razer Blackshark V2 Wireless Range issues and effects Chroma

Hi All, Recently took a pair back to JB Hi Fi, and got a replacement, however I have the Wireless Blackshark's V2 and they are not getting anywhere close to the range of the $50 plantronic headphones I had, never mind going through walls. Is anyone else having a range issue with them? Also noticed if I go out of range and come back in, it makes all my Chroma (Keyboard, Mouse, Mousemat, phillips hue and thermaltake fans) just flash one colour on and off constantly, till i reset Synapse basically ... Rather annoying! Anyone know what might be causing both these things?
