Surround Sound Not Working At All

I have Razer Kraken with 7.1 surround sound support. Audio is working fine, I have the 7.1 Surround Sound program installed and turned on....I have no surround sound at all. I can hear a difference in my audio when toggling 7.1 surround sound but no matter everything I've tried all audio comes from the back/all around and is in no way directional. Also if it is of any help. I have Realtek HD Audio and have configured the sound to "7.1 Speaker" in the Realtek HD Audio Manager
