Question regarding new Blade 15 Base and Chroma Core X
I recently purchased a new Blade 15 Base with a GTX 2060. I'm really enjoying the machine, but my fiance has been dropping hints about wanting VR for quite some time. I want to get a Oculus Rift S, as it allows for future upgrades. But it looks like it ONLY supports display port, not HDMI. From what I've been able to research, the Blade 15 itself has Thunderbolt 3 which could act as DisplayPort, but it's not wired through the GTX 2060, meaning it can't run the Oculus.
That brings me to the question of the Chroma Core X. I happen to have a GTX 2070 Super lying around. If I purchased a Chroma Core X would I be able to output a signal from any of the external card's Display Ports in order to drive the the Oculus? Or does it strictly pump video back along the Thunderbolt connection to the laptop display and built-in HDMI port (putting me back at square one)?
I apologize if this question has been answered elsewhere, but I've bee unable to confirm this through FAQ's and the like.
