Serial number and product number don't match for Basilisk X Hyperspeed

Apparently I am not the only person witnessing this issue. I have the Basilisk X Hyperspeed mouse and when trying to register warranty status, it displays the message "Product number does not match the serial number". Interesting how both the Product number and serial number are printed on the mouse yet doesn't match. Please assist.
