synapse 3 crashing

EVERY SINGLE time i start up synapse and i try to click on the system tab to edit my laptop settings through synapse it crashes and it doesnt let me change anything at all. I can click and edit everything but my system tab i have tried repairing and even doing a clean re install with no luck. ive been experiencing this for some time now, i believe since december, but i figured it would eventually go away. ANYONE have a fix for this? i have a razer blade 15 base (2020)

I'm having the same issue. I believe since the last update in Jan or early Feb. I have clean installed, removed the driver to no avail. If I close all instances in my task manager, and reboot, it will work for a while, then will freeze solid. If I only close the app, it will NOT restart. I must close all razer apps in the task manager, then restart the app.

Same here - most noticeably affecting my FN key so can't control volume, skipping tracks etc. Also the Synapse 3 app does crash when I try to change settings. Similar timelines to the above - last few weeks ? Anyone any clues as to why this is happening?

I'm having the same - constant crashes, not sure of operating durations but at least 2-3 times a day. I have one other app crashing - Phrase Expander. I think it's due to a .Net update but can't isolate to be sure. Are you guys seeing .net errors with each event 1000 app crash on Synapse? Admin or not no diff.

Having the exact same issue with my 2021 Razer Blade 15 base. Synapse keeps crashing when clicking the "System" tab. Anyone know what might be the cause / fix?

Howdy! I thought this was fixed with the 20HD update (received on Saturday) but it started crashing again a day later. This definitely needs to get resolved and fixed as it's looking more widespread.

As of now, it's still crashing. I'm working with the engineering team in a case in email. It was fixed briefly after updating to 20HD then it broke again. The recommendation though (if your fans are running at high speeds) reset Synapse for your System (open Synapse, click on Settings, Reset, then Reset again on your computer's model - don't worry this won't reset the windows). Now you'll need to click into settings and then quickly click on Multimedia keys so that F keys aren't the goto (if this bothers you). Otherwise your system is set back to Auto and the fans will adjust as the system sees fit. Anyways, realllly needing that Synapse fix. :)

For now this fixes the fan problem, but it crashes too quickly for me to even change the FN settings. Luckily I'm not experiencing any problems with that.

I think I have found the solution. This is only my case. The crash happened after I did a color calibration, I went into color management and removed the color profile I added (leaving the original blade profile) and everything works. This is only my case and other people might have different reasons, but I hope this helps some of you guys.

I have. I restored my computer. It was fine until I updated everything. Then the crashing started. I've been sent in a restore file with updated drivers. I don't see this helping. It has to be a driver/synapse thing. I also got a BSOD for mem management shortly after the system restore. Has anyone had that too?

I can confirm that this fixed it for me too. Search, color management - - Make sure everything in Advanced is set to default - Under profile, click Remove on any profiles associated w the device. Restart. Worked for me.

BINGO, idk if this is a tempo fix but this helped my problem. idk if color calibration has anything to do with the system tab in synapse but this fixed my problem i just left the calibration to the default color profile which was "blade" i switched it then i restarted and now i can finally check my sytem tab without the crash. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Thanks 772039670 for sharing this workaround! I've forwarded it to our Support Team and devs for validation as it can be used as an official fix. Hi sozzle and xKaoticProdigyx! Thanks for confirming that these steps work for your setup. I'll update this thread once I got a follow-up from the team.
