Another thing the latest Synapse update has broken... my KM switch

I work from home, so I use a simple USB KM switch to quickly switch my Razer mouse and keyboard between my PC and my work laptop. The latest update has broken this however - if I switch from my laptop to my PC, nothing happens for about 15 seconds before windows prompts to say that the last device plugged in malfunctioned. I have to restart my PC before it will work again, but then it breaks next time I switch. Synapse on my laptop is prompting me that it needs to update... not going to happen.
