Razer Blade 15 - External monitor using Thunderbolt to hdmi adapter does not work
Hi,
I have a Razer Blade 15 Base 2018 and i realized soon that i can't plug my monitor using the type-c / thunderbolt 3 port of the Laptop. I use a thunderbolt 3 to HDMI adapter and it works well on other laptops with thunderbolt 3 but not on the Razer. I also tried with another thunderbolt 3 to HDMI adapter but it does not work either.
When i plug in my monitor on the nvdia graphic card (using the HDMI or the mini DP port) it works fine, but when i plug it in using the thunderbolt port of the laptop, the monitor stay black and say "No signal".
And when i put the display in mirror mode, the external monitor stay black too but the internal monitor has an image but it blinks and does not work well.
Here is the thunderbolt 3 to HDMI adapter i use : https://www.macway.com/hyperdrive-adaptateur-usb-c-vers-hdmi-et-mini-displayport-4k-60-hz/p894255?s_kw=adapteur%20type%20c%20hdmi&oid=693096
Note that i can use the usb ports of a type-c usb hub that i have (i think the hub is not thunderbolt). However the HDMI port of the hub is not working well but it's different than the other adapter : i have an image on the external monitor but it seems to vibrate.
Note, that a few very rare times the monitor works on the thunderbolt port.
I have installed all Windows updates and i think i have updated all my drivers but nothing changed. I also tried to reboot the laptop with the monitor plugged in.
I don't know what to try. I don't know if it's hardware or software. I need help, please.
Thanks !
