Razer synapse fails. Want to switch Fn keys.

Im trying to set the F keys to multimedia, so I won't have to press FN constantly while changing volume and brightness. So im trying this in the synapse software, but changing the function key primary in Synapse does not change anything, nothing changes if I either set it to function keys, or multimedia keys. So then I thought maybe I need to create a profile in the software, but when I try to add a profile it just seems to freeze and not do anything (blue circle thinking thing). I checked bios and there doesnt seem to be any option to switch FN keys there either. I've deleted the whole synapse software and reinstalled it, exact same issue. Razer please, fix your software.. Just got my first one today and this is not a good start.. Its a late 2020 base model with the 1660 ti. Any ideas?
