Razer Blade (2018) Advanced Model firmware update stuck

My laptop only supports 144hz refresh rate and there is a LCD (BOE panel) firmware update that is supposed to add 60hz support. I have the RZ09-02386 model and it's applicable according to the support page (Answer ID 1668).

When running the file (RazerUpdater_v1.1.1.0_C1-BOE144_add_60HZ-v2.exe) it says the following "BOE Panel Firmware current version 1.00 will update to 2.00".

I press update, mouse and keyboard gets completely locked, it progresses until about 95% and then is stuck forever. Holding down power button 10 seconds gets me out of it. Iv'e tried it a couple of times with no luck, tried killing as many background apps as possible no luck. Once I let it wait about 4 hours and still stuck.

Anyone with suggestions? A v2 updater file suggest a v1 file, is that available somewhere if it's better suited for my laptop?

Please send me the link to where you downloaded the firmware update along with the serial number of your laptop. I can use those to check for possible compatibility issues and send you the correct updater.
